Colin Moore, Columbia Threadneedle’s global chief investment officer, is stepping down in 2022. The current chief stock officer William Davies will take over his role.

Columbia Threadneedle Investments announced on Wednesday that Colin Moore will retire as Global Chief Investment Officer (CIO) after nearly 20 years with Columbia Threadneedle.

As part of the company’s long-term succession planning, William Davies, currently Chief Investment Officer for Europe, Middle East and Africa and global equity chief, will take over following Moore’s departure in January 2022. Moore has played a key role in shaping Columbia Threadneedle’s global investment capability, including its well-established investment process, a media release said. Under his leadership, Columbia Threadneedle has delivered strong long-term investment performance for private and institutional clients and now has 103 Morningstar-rated funds with four and five stars worldwide.
