Vienna (A) With five additional partners, Austria’s leading private bank is sending out a strong signal for the future. Martin Grolig, Martina Haschke-Pistori, Louis Kahane, Robert König and Thomas Neuhold were appointed to the group of partners of the bank. With Louis Kahane, a member of the bank’s owning family joins the operational business.

Bank Gutmann, founded in 1922, currently manages assets of 25.5 billion euros. Customers include domestic and foreign foundations, business families, wealthy private customers and institutional investors. The traditional house has received several awards as the leading private bank in Austria, in the German-speaking area and in CEE countries.

The majority of Bank Gutmann is owned by the Kahane family. The group of owners also includes senior employees who are partners in the bank. “This special ownership structure guarantees our customers quick decisions, continuity, special commitment and a high level of quality advice from entrepreneur to entrepreneur,” emphasizes CEO Frank W. Lippitt. “By deciding to rejuvenate and expand the circle of partners, we ensure that this promise will also be kept in the future.”

About the new executives
Martin Grolig has been working in the legal department of Bank Gutmann since 2004, which he has headed since 2013. He holds positions in investment companies of the Gutmann Group in the real estate and private equity sector, is the contact person for supervisory authorities and a representative in interest groups. Grolig studied law at the University of Vienna and completed advanced training at the INSEAD Business School in France.

Martina Haschke-Pistori started at Bank Gutmann in 1991 in the accounting department. In 1995 she was appointed head of the accounting department, and in 2015 she was appointed head of the human resources department. In addition to her professional activity, she studied at the University of Applied Sciences for Finance, Accounting and Taxation of the Vienna Business School in Vienna and completed further training at the INSEAD Business School in France.

Louis Kahane has been with Gutmann since 2020. He is a member of the Private Clients division management. Before joining the bank, Louis Kahane worked in the USA and Switzerland for various investment banks (Lazard, M. Klein & Co) and an industrial group (Jungbunzlauer). He studied political science and economics at New York University.

Robert König started his career at Bank Gutmann in 2011. He has many years of experience as a customer advisor and is a member of the Private Clients division management with a focus on international private customers, the branch in Prague and the subsidiary in Budapest. He completed his law studies at the University of Vienna and advanced training at the London School of Economics and the INSEAD Business School in France.

Thomas Neuhold has been with Gutmann since 2004. He is a member of the management board of Gutmann Kapitalanlageaktiengesellschaft, headed bond fund management for many years and has been responsible for all fund management since 2018. Neuhold studied business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and Maastricht University and completed further training at the INSEAD Business School in France.
