The school that teaches companies and professionals the techniques to rethink production processes in a circular way is scheduled for autumn, from 17 September to 10 October next. After the stop imposed by the Covid-19 emergency, the organizational machine, made up of Trentino Sviluppo, the consulting company Terra Institute and the magazine Matter Renewable, was restarted to allow the lessons to be carried out in person in total safety. The program will be presented with a live streaming conference on Tuesday 25 May at 5.00 pm entitled “Creating jobs for the circular economy”. Speakers Daniele Fano, coordinator of the scientific committee of Randstad Research Italia, Marco Gisotti, journalist of the Ministry of Ecological Transition and author of the book “100 Green Jobs to find work” and Emanuela Vedovati, sustainability consultant for Terra Institute. Until 2012 there were no studies or data on the introduction of the circular model in the real economy. Today the circular economy represents one of the key measures of the Recovery and Resilience Plan on which Italy intends to invest the Recovery Plan funds.
Within a few years it has gained the attention of national economic policies and the manufacturing sector, managing to question the traditional linear production model. Based on the reduction in the consumption of raw materials, the resulting benefits do not only concern ethics and the environment but have concrete advantages on company balance sheets and national GDP. Thus reuse, reuse, regeneration have become increasingly common terms even in the innovation projects of companies and everything that has so far been considered waste is taking on a different importance.
The increase in prices and the difficulties in procuring raw materials that we are witnessing are even accelerating this new vision. In this context, employment opportunities are opening up for professionals with advanced skills who know how to guide companies towards circular supply chains to be translated into economic advantages.
“Creating jobs for the circular economy” is precisely the focus chosen for the launch event of the second edition of the Circular Re-Thinking graduate school. On Tuesday 25 May at 5.00 pm live streaming on the Trentino Sviluppo YouTube channel, three industry experts will present data, research and market trends. Together with the journalist and author of the book “What is the circular economy?”, Emanuele Bompan, Daniele Fano, coordinator of the scientific committee of Randstad Research Italia, Marco Gisotti, journalist of the Ministry of Ecological Transition and author of the book “100 Green Jobs to find work ”and Emanuela Vedovati, sustainability consultant for Terra Institute.
The Circular Re-Thinking school conceived by Trentino Sviluppo, Terra Institute and Renewable Matter will then take place from 17 September to 10 October in Progetto Manifattura in Rovereto.
