RBI buys the Czech credit institution with 480,000 customers and intends to merge it with the local subsidiary.

Raiffeisen Bank International incorporates the Czech Equa Bank. As the RBI announced in an official broadcast on Saturday evening, the private equity investor AnaCap Financial Partners is the seller in this transaction. Equa Bank does its main business with consumer credit and currently has almost 480,000 customers. The deal is expected to be completed in mid-2021, after which Equa Bank is to be merged with the Czech Raiffeisenbank. At the end of 2020, Equa Bank’s total assets were over 2.8 billion euros, while the Czech RBI subsidiary Raiffeisenbank a.s. reported total assets of 15.7 billion euros. Nothing is currently known about the purchase price.
